Examinations...

What the heck am I doing facing the computer at a time like this? I suppose I have nothing else to do asides from studying. Besides, I already studied the stuff that I needed to study. So while I'm still here using the computer, I should finish my project. There's no time for procrastination since the due date is on Friday.

Get a book, read it, and understand.

Exams are coming up and I have to start studying. Like really, and after that I can relax. Except the part where I'd have to check out my report card when I come back from the holidays. That feeling that you kind of didn't do that great this quarter but surprisingly you did. There are only two days of exams. Well that's because we won't be taking the CAE and CAF exam since we had the play festival which is some what a form of exam for the two subjects. But anyways, wish me luck! I can do this. :)

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Wow! This is my first post EVER in months.
So, just a lil' update about what's going on...

Okay, so.. the Play Festival 2010 was just last week. We didn't win. But, so what? I had fun and I did my best. Of course, my hard work actually paid off.

Another thing, exams are closing in, as well as the mastery tests. I better start studying if I don't want to fail! Good luck to me, and everyone else.

SPs. Seriously, what the heck should I give her? We're friends, but not close. Good thing there's this so called "wish list" where everybody's going to write what they want. Yey for me! :)

Look what time of the year it is, Christmas is near! I'm pumped for it. And of course.... Vacatiooon! Some time to rest is great. And after the long holiday, Intramurals!

I'm not really in any sort of tribe that will be participating in the games, but it's sort of like a tribe, I guess?

Well, that's all for now. I'm not so sure if I'll be writing anything sooner. So, yeah....

Learn yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. Or in Japanese lingo...
NANKURUNAISA!

My Country :)

Sometimes I think that I don't love my country so much. Well, yes, it's nice to know you're Filipino, but when I take a look at what are around me, I wouldn't go like, "WOAAAAH! Awesome." Take a look for yourself, broken-down roads, filthy riffraff, polluted rivers, tainted atmosphere. I've traveled to numerous countries, and what I saw was nothing quite like ours. They had a lot of trees, spotless roads, the gorgeous scenery and everything you'd see there would leave you gobsmacked.

I suppose we could blame our government, right? I apologize for the word that I will use, but those corrupt bastards don't seem to care do they? Well, maybe they have sympathy in their hearts that feel the urge to change this country. But, I don't think that the majority of them see it. Money this, money that! They don't seem to know how to use it suitably for the needs of the people.

I know for a fact that there are politicians, philanthropists, and others out there who're already doing something to make our country and the people who live in it benevolent and exhilarated by which they see that we can show the world that our country is truly sublime. We are going to show them that the Philippines is indeed beautiful.

It's a Choice

There are things that we human beings can decide upon. But, there are also things that are inescapable. Many people deplore the things that is happening to the world, but the truth is that they too were the ones who're the source of it all. Global Warming is an example, we can't really terminate it in a jiffy. But, we chose to try to lessen Global Warming. That's a decision, but we also can choose not to.

My point is that there are issues that we human beings start. We have a choice, a mind of our own. There are options we can choose from in life, these options are chosen not for the fun of it, but for the welfare of others. We can't always think that this world is centered on us, that we make the decisions, and let our zombies follow our every command. No! That's not it. There are others who have sentiments. Let them speak. They can't live the rest of their lives as slaves. They might have brilliant apprehensions.

It Could Be Worse..

Before we did the Mural Painting thing today, my friend told me a little thing she observed yesterday when we went to Jaro Cathedral for our singing practice.

I know how creeped out we could be when we'd be asked by hobos for money and food, but it's not right to jump and say, "Eww!" at them, right? Well, you got to agree with me. What in the world happened to our freshmen? I can't believe they actually did that. You know, those hobos out there could've been angels in disguise. That may sound weird, but it could be possible.

I did feel pretty much bad for them, but we were told not to give stuff to them.
The thing is, I don't want people to oppress the star-crossed people who live about the streets of the plazas, what if we were destined to be them, what if WE were them. These people never took showers, or even brushed their teeth, or even had three meals a day, and worse they're being mocked by young teenagers under the education of a school that teaches them good moral values. What's up with that?

Did those girls forget about all the teachings they have learned? Then they don't belong to this school, or better they should've withdrawn from the nasty actions that they have flaunted to the eyes of the less fortunate. Don't you think so too?

If you were in that tough spot of having to beg all day to receive a single grub or two, and you were told that you were abhorrent in a really discourteous manner, how would you feel? Yeah, I know this question has already been asked like a gazillion times, but I want to ask it again anyway. How would you feel if you were in their shoes, huh?

Let me list a few emotions that might struck you when people would barb at you.

1.)Glum
2.)Outraged

3.)Pathetic
4.)Disrespected
5.)Despairing

There are more emotions, I know. But I just want to name a few.

So we would feel something like what's listed above. Actually, we do feel that, especially when these words are blurted out, "Ay ka suplada sang mga Assumptionista!" Aren't I right? Do you remember what you would reply in return from this disgusting compliment? We would say that ,"They don't know us, they don't even know what they're saying."

'Course they don't! They just simply see what lies in front of them. A girl in a red plaid skirt, who happens to study in a private school, wherein the tuition fee could be pricey, and yadda yadda yadda. So what? Isn't it so that we would propose that seeing the true nature of one human being, could possibly define them?

Answer this question then,
are you really a brat like they say so? If your answer is yes, well, prove it to them. Show them the great goodness that lies within you. You know you have it. If you say you aren't what they claim you to be, start showing it to them. They won't believe you unless you give them your proof. Proof that you're someone who's got a ginormous heart.

It's Okay to Ask

I know we all could get irked when someone pretends to know something just to show the he/she is not left out in the conversation. Of course, you wouldn't want to miss out on everything their blabbering, but it's okay to ask. Isn't it? Rather than risking humiliation when people are aware that you are only try to beguile them.

If you're unsure of something, ask. Isn't it when you require someone's assistance you ask for their help? But of course, if you're not in the conversation, don't try to be in it. You're not part of it after all. It would be very uncivilized of you to interfere with them. Oh and, do not hypothesize that they don't like you. As I have said before, asking wouldn't hurt.

Perfect, just perfect.

This is the truth and y'all know it is. No one's perfect, in fact, people try to make things perfect. But no matter what they do they're still missing one important detail. Acceptance. We all just have to learn to love what we have, and be who we are. Because even if we try to change our looks, or try to be like the people we aren't, nothing changes. God loves us no matter what or who we are. That's the truth. That's what makes us special.

The smallest flaw could be the only thing that differs us from others. That flaw makes us unique in our own way. Because everything around us is reality. So, stop fantasizing about your perfect dream, because perfection only comes to us when we realize that everyone that makes us, who we are now. Everything that makes us, ourselves, are the things that create an identity within us.

If we don't have these imperfections, these mistakes, these scars, how will we know ourselves? We can't just be anybody out there in the world. We are someone in the world. Like we have our own unique style in writing, our penmanship. No one can copy that. Because you're the only one who has it. People who try to forge that are the ones who aren't perfect. True perfection comes to those who are content and who're at peace with everything they have.

Quit being aberzombies and start being YOURSELVES. Every one of us is already perfect the way we are. You all just have to open your eyes to the truth that makes up yourselves.

Good-bye Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Hello Noynoy Aquino!

I'm not really the type of person who's into politics. But, since the 2010 elections, I have, when it comes to choosing my vote for the new president of the Philippines. I wasn't for Noynoy, obviously. Noynoy hadn't had a single bill passed after all these years of him being a senator. And here he goes saying, "I'll run for presidency." He said that when his beloved mother, Cory Aquino, had passed away. So, I believe that people had sympathy for him and his family. That's why a lot had voted for him.

But who'll my vote go to? You may wonder. Of course, none other than Gilbert "Gibo" Teodro, Jr. Before I chose my candidates, I checked their backgrounds first. Gibo seemed pretty fit for the job. He had a great background, he was a great man too. Although he didn't win, he will continue what he started.

Tomorrow will be the day of all days that we've been waiting for. The inauguration of President-Elect Noynoy Aquino. It's hard for me to accept him as the 15th president, but I have to have faith in him, right? This is just a new beginning for all of us, we'll get the hang of it. And we will see the CHANGE.

Scratch that!

"I will be absent for two weeks, rejoice!" You might say at first, but, it doesn't sound that great, you know. Having chicken pox is very aggravating. Plus, staying at home is very boring. Thank goodness this illness could only happen once in a lifetime. Better to have it now than later.

I guess you could say that Chicken Pox is a very tempting disease. You're not supposed to scratch yourself, or prick your blister. It'll cause a scar! And it's gross to look at. To all those people haven't gone through this yet, remember not to risk scratching yourself. I'll get better in two weeks, so, I'll just have to find a way to do something thrilling at home. For now, I'll be checking for assignments and stuff. :>

Mother... Nature

These days, we haven't been caring for our Mom, I mean our other mom, Mother Nature. Our sky is polluted, we have a nasty atmosphere, filthy streets, and just about everything around us is contaminated. The more we continue to be lax with whatsoever happens to our planet, the more vulnerability we leave our lives to be, the more ebb global warming will be as well. I wonder why can't most people open their eyes to the reality of what is becoming of our own continual existence on planet earth. Majority of us humans are more likely busy listening to random cacophonies, playing Plants vs. Zombies, or other things that could keep us preoccupied. Why don't we do something for a change, shall we? Prevent the use of perfume like the ones that spray, throw your trash on trash bins rather than dirtying our rivers, and make sure to save paper, don't you feel sorry for the trees? Remember, you have 24 hours which equals one day, and if you could just do these things to help our Mother even using up your whole 24 hours, we could have the opportunity to help our Mom, clean her up, and eventually save our own race from extinction.

Social Networking Sites

Social Networking Sites are addictive. Such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and more. The good thing is that we could all stay connected with friends that are distant from us. But, there are matters that could possibly be very dangerous, in which case is SUICIDE. Yes, suicide. I hope that most of you have heard of the MySpace Suicide Story. This is what's dangerous in sites like these. You could search for the story in Youtube or you can just Google it. A thirteen year old girl killed herself because of this one incident that occurred in MySpace.

We should always be careful of the strangers that we meet, they could be living right next door to you. Making friends with people you just met on a website is a good thing and a bad thing. Don't send your personal information, people could use it themselves to tell to other people. Choose wisely what you want to reveal to others. It's okay to make new friends, just as long as your identity and your life is safe. :>

I'm Bored.

I'm posting this because I have nothing better to do. All the more reason to use this blog:) Blogging keeps me preoccupied with time. Thinking of the right things to say, the right words. I need something to do, and this helps. What else could I do when I'm bored? Hmm.. I guess I could doodle a few things, but then I'm going to be bored very quickly. Blogging is starting to be fun =)

PRODIGIES:|

They're talented, obviously. And who wouldn't envy them? They could do things beyond their age. Most people want to be like them... someday. Don't blame them for making you look bad after all these years. Blame yourself for a change. Blame yourself for not practicing for hours every single day. Blame yourself for procrastinating.

Once you're finally awake from your dreams, start making those dreams real, and I mean NOW. Don't wait for tomorrow, or the next day. Or even the day after that. The first step to improvement starts with yourself. You better do it now, because you only have one shot at this life.

I miss California=\

Like what the title says, "I miss California." I've only been there for like, two weeks, and I already miss the place. I miss the friendly citizens, the white beaches, Universal Studios, and a whole lot more. It was a remarkable experience exploring. Everything's green, trees and flowers everywhere. I miss the sporty spirit of the Americans:) It was Lakers vs Phoenix at that time. I was just outside the Staples Center, all of them were wearing Lakers' Jerseys. But to sum it all down, all of it was felicitous for a vacation.

You Can't Beat the Classics

I miss watching the old cartoons when I was a kid. Smurfs, Flinstones, Powerpuff Girls, Cow & Chicken? Great shows. But, now that I'm growing up, I hardly have time to watch these. (except during vacations.) Spongebob is still up and running. Including The Simpsons. The new cartoons of today are, just okay. Compared to the old ones? these cartoons are baloney. Like the famous saying, "You can't beat the classics!" I definitely agree. The approach of the cartoons of today is different. Not that exciting. I could say 'some' are, but not the majority. I miss those cartoons. And today, I had fun brainstorming them with my friend. :)

Brownout Sucks

Brownouts happen more often than usual nowadays. And I feel bad for the people who only have a candle stick to light up the room. I hope sooner or later we will resolve this problem. Generators help, but, the noise is just annoying. Plus, you still need to buy gasoline. Hopefully, occurrences like brownouts will have to lessen. It happened just yesterday, and if I could recall, the day before that.

FIFA 2010

I'm NOT a soccer fan. So, I'm sorry. I don't know much. But, my brother seriously LOVES soccer. He's been playing soccer for years now. So, FIFA began already and the sucky part is that we don't have ESPN in our channels. So, my bro kinda felt bad. We had to pay to get that channel. My dad's sick so we can't watch it in his room, where there's satellite. I'm not a soccer-lover, but, I like soccer. I actually stayed and watched soccer's history on the History channel. So, I kind of know something about soccer. I want to watch FIFA. Sounds fun. But, I don't know which team to root for. Friends say BRAZIL! SPAIN! Oh, what the heck! I'll see who I'll like.

Places

I like going to other places. Especially somewhere I've never been to before. It's better that way, because going again makes you know the answer to, "what's next?" I like surprises. Who doesn't? Unless it'll give you a heart attack. Well that's another thing. Keep things fresh, I guess that's how you'd call it. There are so many hot spots that I've never been to, yet. And I'm waiting to discover them.

Club Reaction

Today is Thursday, so every school year we have clubs on this day. It's the first week, so we choose our choice on Activity Period. And to be honest, it's so unfair. I mean, 2 or 3 people can only join a club! What the heck? We want to join this club, but we can't. Like for example, you raised your hand first and five other people did as well, then you have to give way for them. You don't have much of a choice. But, you'd learn how to sacrifice. Although, I still find it not right. I suggest that if we want that club, we should just sign up and be a member. Isn't that what "Club" means after all? A place where we belong and have something in common with another person, like Glee. Maybe by the end of the school year(which is 9 months from now) I could suggest that. That would be awesome. So no one would have to join another club they don't even like to be a part of.
